Madeline received a B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. She is currently a fourth year Ph.D. Candidate at Rice University in the Bioengineering department. She studies under Dr. K. Jane Grande-Allen in the Integrative Matrix Mechanics laboratory, with her thesis work focusing on the synthesis of polymeric biomaterials toward exploring how sex-linked hormones can drive differential pathological development in heart valves.

Fun Fact:
Madeline has a pet hedgehog named Nutmeg.
