

Shelley Wertz is a Clinical Research Associate II at Proxima Clinical Research, Inc., a contract research organization that serves the emerging drug and medical device industries. She has worked in clinical research for the past three years. She has experience as a project management analyst on a phase one device trial prior to moving into the role of CRA. As a CRA, she worked in the following therapeutic areas: pediatric neurology, cardiology, endocrine, immunology, and gastroenterology as a blinded and unblinded CRA in phases 2-4 with both remote and onsite experience. As a CRA, Shelley provided site management support and site monitoring for trial sites focusing on quality, patient safety, and audit readiness.
Shelley brings to this position a well-established background in healthcare and research. She has previously managed grants, events, and programs for the Research and Policy division of the Kauffman Foundation. Additionally, she has worked in healthcare providing executive support and contract management for services and programs focusing on managing outcomes, data analysis, logistics management, business strategy, and profitability.
Shelley holds a master’s degree in business management and leadership from Webster University and a bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from Kansas State University.
